What you get

The essentials, already handled

Everything a Malaysian business needs to keep its books, in the box from day one.

  • LHDN MyInvois e-invoicing — native, no middleman
  • AI bill scanning
  • Bank statement matching
  • SST returns
  • Cloud, plus a real mobile view
  • 50+ reports

And then four things that only come from having all of it on one database.

Your stock and your books are the same record

A stock move posts its own journal entry, and the e-invoice is raised from the same record as the sales order and the delivery note. Nothing is re-keyed between systems, because there is no second system to re-key it into.

Ask a question that crosses departments

"Which customers slowed down this quarter, and of those, who has an overdue invoice and a delivery we're late on?" Your current system can't answer that — not because its AI is weaker, but because it has never seen your deliveries.

Add a branch without buying another licence

Multi-company consolidation with inter-company entries cleared automatically, branch stock sitting on the same database as the ledger, and a mobile view that is the same system — not a cut-down app that only shows cash expenses.

Support that doesn't bill you RM200 a question

"Whenever I check on something, they will tell me it will cost RM200 to do it."

That is what Malaysian owners say about their current vendor. You get 24/7 support under an AMC that states in writing what's covered and what's chargeable — so you know before you sign, not after the invoice arrives.

The honest version

Where each one stops

Every system below is a good product. This is about ceilings, not quality — where each one runs out of road for a business holding stock in more than one place.

The arithmetic

What doing it by hand is costing you

Three numbers, honest arithmetic. Change the assumptions if you disagree with them.

Working on minutes per supplier bill, minutes per order copied between systems, and 22 working days a month.

105 hrs/mospent typing and copying
RM 31,500a year, the cost of doing it by hand

We're not going to claim you get all of that back. What automation removes is the typing, not the thinking — expect most of the first and none of the second.

Fit

Who this is built for

Businesses where the stock, the sales and the books have stopped agreeing with each other.

Trading & distribution

Stock in more than one place, and a price list that changes.

Manufacturing

Production, materials and costing that have to reach the ledger.

Multi-branch retail & F&B

Outlets, transfers and one set of numbers at the end of the day.

Project-based services

Billing, costs and margin tracked per job, not per month.

What it runs on, and how it gets built

The system underneath is Odoo — the ERP platform, not a bookkeeping app. The implementation team is in Kuala Lumpur.

Phase 1

Discovery and scope

We walk your process end to end, quotation to payment, and list every place data is re-keyed. You get a written scope at a fixed price, and an honest list of what needs customising.

1–2 weeks

Phase 2

Build, migrate, train

Configuration, integrations and testing on your own data. All your data comes across — customers, suppliers, stock, opening balances and transaction history, reconciled against your old system before go-live.

4–8 weeks for accounting + inventory

Phase 3

Go live and support

Cutover, then close support while your team works on live data for the first time. You nominate one internal owner; we hand over a system and an AMC that states what's covered.

Then ongoing support

Before you ask

Questions we get asked

What does the AI actually cost?

AI usage is metered — you buy credits or connect your own API key. That is normal for AI in this market. We price it at your document volume before you sign, so it's a line in the quote and not a surprise on the invoice.

Where does our data sit, and who can see it?

You choose. On Odoo Online you pick the hosting region at setup, and Asia-Pacific runs production in Singapore. Worth knowing up front: backups replicate outside your chosen region and that can't be restricted — so if your data has to stay in-country, we host it on infrastructure we manage instead. Odoo holds ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification. Under PDPA you remain the data controller.

Are we ready for LHDN e-invoicing?

Yes — MyInvois submission is built in, not bolted on through a middleman. On timing: under RM1m turnover you're exempt, and the RM1–5m band has consolidated e-invoicing with no penalties until 31 December 2027, with full enforcement from 1 January 2028. So you have time. We're not going to invent a deadline to hurry you.

Is Odoo suitable for Malaysian SMEs?

Yes, with a caveat worth saying out loud. It fits businesses that hold stock, run more than one function on the same numbers, or have outgrown a single bookkeeping file — trading, distribution, manufacturing, multi-branch retail. It carries the Malaysian localisation: MyInvois e-invoicing, SST, and ringgit multi-currency. If your books are simple and you work from one location, it is more system than you need.

Can Odoo support multiple companies or branches?

Yes. Several companies live in one database with their own ledgers, and consolidated reporting clears inter-company entries automatically. Branches, warehouses and outlets each hold their own stock while reporting into the same accounts, so you add a location without adding a system to reconcile against.

How long does it really take, and what does it cost?

One to two weeks to scope, four to eight weeks to build and migrate for accounting plus inventory, then you're live with support. Price depends on users, modules and how much of your process needs customising — you get a fixed price in writing after Phase 1, not a number guessed on the phone.
